Best Off-Road All-Terrain Tires under $1000 For 2022

June 29, 2022

Here's the deal, guys - fuel pricing right now is astronomically high, but we still have to drive to work. We still have to drive our vehicles, and we still have to replace our tires. So in today's piece, we're gonna go through our top five best tires for the best price.

To get this list together, we went to our tire store page, sorted by low to high, then filtered through those tires to find the ones that we thought were the best for the price. So, we picked out the five best ones to show you guys, and we're excited to do just that.

Now, these are all-terrain tires because we feel like it fits the mass majority of people that are looking for tires. Of course, not everyone will buy all-terrains - some people will go with hybrids and some will go with mud-terrains. You get the picture. With that in mind, let's start with number 1.

Criteria For Picking The Best Bang For Your Buck All-Terrain Tires

Each tire on our list is in the 265/70 17 size range. The prices do go down a bit if you go with a 15-inch or 16-inch wheel diameter, and up a little bit if you go to an 18 or 20-inch diameter tire. But we picked this size because it's right in the middle and appropriate for most off-road drivers.

2012 Toyota Highlander with BFGoodrich Trail Terrain tires

Features and Pricing of the BFGoodrich Trail Terrain

We start our list with the BFG Trail Terrain. If you've been watching our YouTube channel, you should know that this is one of our favorite all-terrain tires because it offers the best of both worlds. First, you can get a set for a heck of a price - a set of four of these Trail Terrains is only 926 bucks. Of course, that doesn't include any mounting or balancing or any other additional add-ins, but if you do put a set of wheels in with these tires from us, we'll mount them and balance them for you at no extra cost, which is a heck of good savings.

It's $926 for a set of four Trail Terrain tires, and you get a pretty decent set all told. They have all-terrain tread, but it's a little bit more aggressive and has deeper valley grooves in it to get you through mud, snow, trail conditions, or wherever you might be going. Speaking of snow, this is a three-peak mountain snowflake-rated tire, so you do get that additional tread traction in the winter, in ice and snow.

The Trail Terrain is a heck of a good tire, and it's a great all-around option to put on your SUV, light-duty truck, or even your car. They come in about 28 different sizes, all the way from 15-inch wheel diameters to 22 inches. Awesome choice to start right off the bat. Also, you have a 60,000-mile treadwear warranty to work with.

2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with Atturo Trail Blade AT tires

Features and Pricing of the Atturo Trail Blade A/T

The next tire on our list is the Atturo Trail Blade all-terrain model. This one has a 60,000-mile treadwear warranty on it, and we're sticking around the 265/70 17 size range to give us a base point of where to judge our prices. For a set of four for these Atturos, you're looking at 807 bucks, which is a heck of a deal. Being three-peak mountain snowflake rated, still having that treadwear warranty, and falling in an 800-dollar price range is an awesome value point for this tire.

2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited with Venom Power Terra Hunter XT wheels

Features and Pricing of the Venom Power Terra Hunter XT

Here's one that's been very popular selling for us - it's the Venom Power XT. Venom Power does classify this as a sort of hybrid tread design, but we still look at it as more of an all-terrain design. it does not have a three-peak mountain snowflake rating, but it does have an M+S (Mud Plus Snow) rating, along with some pretty similar tread designs to another popular tire, the BFGoodrich KO2.

We get a lot of good feedback on this Venom Power tire because of the traction properties it offers. People say that this tire has great traction in the snow or on wet roads, even in some off-road circumstances - it does have some decent off-roading capabilities.

The Venom Power Terra Hunter XTs do have 50,000-mile treadwear warranties on them, which is relatively respectable, and for a set of four, it's only 962 bucks. That's another great deal that, again, you can find right in our store.

2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with Radar Renegade tires

Features and Pricing of the Radar Renegade

Coming in at a little bit less than the Venom Power Terra Hunter is the Radar Renegade. This is the AT model, and like the Terra Hunter, it's an LT tire, meaning that it carries a load rating of E. These come in at about 943 bucks for a set of four, again with a 50,000-mile warranty.

SHOP THE RADAR RENEGADE ALL-TERRAIN TIRE

This has been another great-selling tire for us, and if you're looking for an all-terrain tire at a great price point that'll last you at least 50,000 miles, Renegades are a great way to go. Plus, you can save a little money and put it in the gas tank.

2001 Dodge RAM with Nexen Roadian AT tires

Features and Pricing of the Nexen Roadian AT Pro

Moving onto our last tire, we have one that may not be as popular as some of the others, but it's a bit cheaper. Coming in at 931 bucks for a set of four is the Nexen Roadian AT Pro model. It has a 50,000-mile warranty like most of the other tires on our list, and this particular one is LT rated, but they do come in a whole bunch of different sizes that are passenger sizes as well.
