New Styling and Design Features of the ICON Recon Pro

When it comes to style the Recon Pro represents one of the most ambitious design projects that ICON has undertaken. This is a sixteen-spoke wheel with an aggressive concave style, made with aluminum alloy materials that give this wheel a 3,200-pound load rating, with up to 4,000 pounds of clearance on wheels with more lugs.

ICON Recon Pro Tech Innovations and Upgrades

The hallmark of the Recon Pro is the two patented ICON technologies that the brand has brought to the table for this wheel: InnerLock and HALO Wheel Armor.

We'll start with InnerLock™ - this system consists of a series of bead retention pins pushed through a thicker section of the wheel. In effect, these pins then act as a fence that prevent debeading - it's a simple solution, but sometimes the simplest ideas are the best ones to execute, and that's been proven by the extensive lab and trail testing that it's undergone to make sure the Recon Pro is one of the strongest off-road wheels in the business.

Icon's HALO Wheel Armor system is also designed to give you better flexibility and efficiency when you're putting your rig together. The Wheel Armor system consists of a wheel ring split into four segmented quarters, allowing you the freedom to replace any one of them at one time without needing to put a whole new ring on your wheel. This also means that you can replace any of the segments without needing to remove your tire.

Sizing and Finish Options on The ICON Recon Pro

As of launch, the ICON Recon Pro is available in 17x8.5 and compatible with five lug, six lug and eight lug bolt patterns, meaning that most OEMs are covered. You'll get your choice of either a Satin Black or Charcoal finish, and you can also grab Satin Black or Raw Aluminum replacement armor sets for additional style.
