Chevy K5 Blazer Wheel, Tire and Suspension Fitment Guide

Back in the 80s and 90s, Chevy had one of the most capable off-roaders in the business just hiding out in its lineup, waiting for enthusiasts to take it to every type of trail imaginable. The K5 Blazer, built as Chevy's answer to the Ford Bronco and other body-on-frame rigs, was manufactured from 1967 through its discontinuation in 1994, but really came into its own in the last 10 years of its lifespan.

Thanks to a durable, take-no-crap attitude and a powertrain that just keeps going no matter what, the K5 Blazer is a perfect companion for every type of off-road enthusiast. So if you can get your hands on one, you're in for a real treat both on and off the path. Let's get you set up right if you have a Blazer of your own - let's see the best wheel, tire and suspension combos to fit it!

Chevy Blazer Bolt Pattern and Recommended Wheel/Tire Fitment Range

As with many of the other models in the Chevy truck world, the K5 Blazer of the 80s and 90s came standard with a 6x5.5-inch (6x139.7mm) bolt pattern that remains in common usage today. Additionally, when hunting for your wheels you'll want to go with wheel sizes between 15 and 20 inches in diameter and 8 to 12 inches in width to get the maximum amount of handling and durability out of your wheels.

Obviously, though, tire size is king when it comes to any off-roading rig, so you may want to size your Blazer's wheels down a little bit in order to fit those bigger tires on. It's not uncommon to see K5 Blazer builds with 33's and even 35's or above, although you may need to add a lift kit or do some trimming to its body in order to accommodate these larger sizes.
