2007-2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 Wheel, Tire & Suspension Fitment Guide

Chevy’s sophomore design of the Silverado 1500 brought a lot of new features to the line. A new design, more sophisticated interior, and a better engine that led to increased fuel efficiency are just some of the changes we saw. Combine those with more vehicle trims, the addition of V8 engines and the option of either two or four-wheel drive on almost all models, and the second gen Silverado 1500 quickly became a popular choice for anyone in the pickup truck market.

If your 2007-2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 is sitting in your driveway and in need of some upgrades in order to take it out on the trails, never fear! Here at TrailBuilt Off-Road we have a wheel and tire fitment guide for that very purpose. Take a look at what we have for the second generation Silverado 1500.

Stock Wheel & Tire Fitment on the Second Generation (2007-2013) Chevy Silverado 1500

Second generation Silverado 1500s rolling off the lot came in a respectable size of 265/70 with a wheel size of 17x7.5. The ‘07-13 Silverado also featured a bolt pattern of 6x5.5 so you’ll want to make sure that any wheel you want to use on your build fits that pattern, otherwise you’ll have to get an adapter to make it work.

In our gallery we see a lot of Silverado 1500s with tire sizes ranging from 33” to 35” and even a good number of 37” as well. When pairing something like a 35” tire, a wheel size range of 17” or 18” would be a good fit for off-roading purposes when combined with a lift kit of 4 or 5”. As a good reminder, please remember that with higher lifts, it’s important to keep suspension geometry in mind. If your suspension isn’t in proper balance, you can cause massive damage to your rig.
