A redesigned exterior made a bold statement, including a taller and wider stance that improved aerodynamics, stability and efficiency. This version of the Silverado 2500 also received a number of modern tech upgrades, including an improved infotainment system and 15-camera towing system for increased trailer visibility. This truck is known as one of the most capable heavy-duty pickups on the market and enthusiasts trust it to get the job done every time.

So let’s get going!
Stock Wheel & Tire Fitment for the Fourth Generation Chevy Silverado 2500
The fourth version of the Silverado 2500 was produced with a few different size options when it came to wheels and tires. Available tire sizes were either 245/75, 265/70, or 275/70. These were accompanied by either a 17x7.5 or 18x8 wheel size. This Silverado also features a bolt pattern of 8x180, which is critical to remember when selecting wheels for your custom build. You’ll want to make sure any wheel that you want to equip fits that bolt pattern, otherwise in order to get the correct fit you’ll need to make sure you have an adapter on hand.
So now we’re looking at custom wheels and tires for your Silverado 2500, and when you look at our gallery, you’ll notice a similar theme to the trucks there. When it comes to maximizing the off-road performance of your truck, the ideal combo is going big on the tires and smaller on the wheels. Your ideal wheel size is going to be somewhere in the 18-20 inch diameter range paired with a set of tires that will typically be 35-37 inches in height. Take this and combine it with a suspension lift starting at 3 inches, going up to as high as 7”, and you’ll have ideal ground clearance and uneven terrain performance to keep your truck protected and your ride as comfortable as possible. One thing to note with a higher suspension lift is the suspension geometry. You’ll want to make sure that it’s properly aligned before actually testing it out. If it’s out of whack, you can end up causing massive damage to your rig’s suspension.
