How to Fix the Death Wobble

February 21, 2020

The Death Wobble is one of the scariest things a driver can experience.

You're calmly cruising down the highway when suddenly your rig starts to shudder like crazy and starts to become extremely difficult to control.

We don't want you to ever experience this so today we're going to tell you how you can prevent the death wobble!

1. Check your Suspension Components

The first thing you should do is lift the front of your vehicle to take all of the weight off of the suspension components.

Then go around and inspect things like your track arm bushings. Make sure that there is no signs of extreme wear or damage.

2. Check the Steering Stabilizer

Now, this one won't necessarily fix the death wobble, but it will help prevent it from ever happening in the first place.

3. Alignment

This is the most important step.

Make sure your alignment is correct. If you notice your wheels toed in or out, definitely go get yourself an alignment.

This is probably one of the biggest contributors to the death wobble.

This was a basic, quick, and easy guide to help you fix or prevent the death wobble. We never want you to encounter that situation so by taking these steps, hopefully, we'll make your journey that much safer!
